Welcome to our website. Clark Willis are one of the North East's leading providers of specialist legal services with 4 offices in Darlington, Catterick Garrison and Billingham. Our roots can be traced back to 1965 when our first office was opened by our consultant Mr John Willis.
We have 26 lawyers whose practise area covers a wide range of legal specialities.
We run a highly specialised conveyancing department utilising the latest case management software integrated with e-conveyancing capabilities to ensure that each transaction is completed in the shortest possible time.
We have a serious commitment to publicly funded work being one of the few firms in the area to hold more than 4 Legal Services Commission Quality Marks, being Housing, Family, Mental Health, Mediation and Crime.
We advise and represent clients in most areas of legal work. If however there is an area in which we we feel a client would be better represented by another firm, we have in place excellent referral arrangements through our association with Connect2Law to ensure that we find for you a lawyer with the appropriate skills to deal with their matter.

Whilst we have a broad range of legal expertise we have particular specialisms in property related matters, all aspects of matrimonial and family matters, mental health, civil and criminal litigation, housing problems , and probate and Will disputes.
Property/Conveyancing
We have dedicated teams dealing with remortgages, sales, purchases, right to buy, equity release, leaseholds and freeholds, utilising the latest case management software integrated with e-conveyancing capabilities including on line local search and Land Registry enquiry facilities. We provide both fixed fee and bespoke services.
Litigation
We represent clients in both Civil (family, contract and personal injury claims) and Criminal Defence litigation.
We undertake private and publicly funded legal aid work, holding Legal Services Commission (LSC) contracts in Family, Mental Health, Housing, Mediation and Crime.
The firm has solicitor members of the LSC Police & Court Duty Solicitor schemes covering the Darlington, Richmond, Northallerton, Newton Aycliffe and Bishop Auckland police areas.
We also have solicitor members of the LSC Housing Duty Solicitor Scheme covering the Darlington, Hartlepool and Middlesbrough areas.
