Criminal Defence

Peter Furness and Chris Bunting are partners in charge of the Criminal Department. They provide specialist legal advice to those arrested by the police and questioned at the police station.

Our Criminal Lawyers are

Their advice is always provided free of charge under the free legal aid scheme whatever your own financial circumstances are.

One of our lawyers will always be available 24 hours a day, to be in attendance with you should you be required to attend a Police Station for any reason.

Mr Furness, Mr Bunting and Mr Willis are all members of the Legal Services Commission's Police Station Duty Solicitor schemes in Bishop Auckland, Newton Aycliffe, Catterick, Richmond, Northallerton, and Darlington.

  • Everyone should have legal representation if being questioned by the police
  • We are fully independent of the police
  • We act exclusively on behalf of the defence in criminal matters
  • We have extensive experience of advising people at the police station
